We appreciate all flavours of chiropractic and we want everyone to succeed – no matter their philosophy. However, the particular style we practice is called “vitalistic”. Simply put, this means we think chiropractic plays a bigger part in health than fixing back pain. We know there is limited scientific evidence and so we never make claims to patients, nor do we take responsibility for eliminating symptoms.
Our belief is the body heals itself and we are there to facilitate the natural process. We see our job as restoring the function of the spine and nervous system, so the body is better able to do its work. Our open-plan clinics are places of healing, balance, community and love. We do not focus on pain, sickness, fear and disease.
We know many practitioners do not understand vitalism yet – and that’s fine by us. We were all in that headspace at some point during our past, but we remained open-minded and now the evidence in front of us is overwhelming: chiropractic is about so much more than just pain relief.
